Electrical Testing, PAT, EICR for Poole Landlords, Property Owners & Homeowners

Testing  is a requirement, and it's also a great way to prevent potential issues before they have a chance to disrupt your day
Hearing electrical buzzing sounds? Do your plug sockets spark, or work intermittently? Worried about that outdoor plug socket after the recent bad weather? If you have suspected that some lights are flickering or there are some faulty wires, we can provide you instant consultation and electrical testing services over a wide range at your property or business.
What does PAT testing involve?
Portable appliance tests are usually carried out to inspect and test the electrical appliances which can be moved from one place to another. It is important for landlords to ensure that all equipment in their property is PAT tested. To ensure this for you, our registered electricians will do visual inspection of electrical appliances at your place. They will inject test signals in your class I equipment to check its integrity.
Electrical inspection and testing
Our electricians will first inspect the fault in your electrical appliances, wiring, or other electrical circuits and then apply electrical testing procedures over them. The main theme of testing is to ensure that an electrical fault has been cleared and electrical circuit/equipment is working safely in a good condition.

All testing work must be carried out in accordance with the BS7671 relevant wiring regulations at regular intervals. Why? Because electrical testing is not specifically a “one-and-all-done” procedure. Before handing over to you, our electricians will prepare an EICR report for all electrical appliances’ and circuits’ installations.

·        Continuity for ring final circuits

·        Insulation Resistance

·        Polarity: To check if line and neutral are finely connected

·        Earth Electrode: If you are having TT type of power supply centre
Electrical Live Testing
·        Impedance

·        Phase Sequence for 3 phase supply

·        RCD Testing

Why EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report)
Through EICR, our electricians record the inspected and tested electrical equipment results which will make sure that your equipment and wiring is safe until next inspection.  We will find any electrical installation that doesn’t meet IET wiring regulations and also report the ones that are damaged and need repair.
Types of EICRs
Visual Condition Report (VCR) ⇒ our electricians can do visual checks over electrical installations that have been tested just recently and will prepare a VCR for you.

Periodic Inspection Report (PCR) ⇒ We preferably recommend this, as this involves proper electrical appliance testing and find hidden faults in your electrical installations.
